Steps to Sign Up and Register for Spring 2009 SFU Courses

Note: The SFU course is the second part of a two-part sequence. A participant must have taken the associated math or science content course during Summer 2008 to sing up for a SFU in Spring 2009.

IMPORTANT instructions for accurately completing application:  Please use your full legal name when filling out the application (no nicknames) as it must match the name used on the stipend payment voucher. Please update your name with the university by following the directions on the Name Change and Record Update form. It is very important that you check the right box for the grade level that you teach. We will confirm this information with your district before the stipends are issued.

Step 1 (REQUIRED): Complete and Submit FALL 2009 Online Content Sign-up Form through RMMSMSP

  • Participants are required to sign-up for the SFU course they are taking in advance using the RMMSMSP SFU sign up form. The SFU sign-up form is submitted online.
  • Want to receive college credit for the SFU? Proceed to Step 2.
  • Don’t want to receive college credit for the SFU? You are done and have successfully signed up for the SFU.
  • You are automatically accepted into the course after submitting the sign up form.

Step 2 (OPTIONAL): Register for College Credit

  • Once you have completed Step 1 and received the call numbers for your SFU from project staff, then register for college credit through the university registration system, called SMART system.
  • If you can't remember your pin and ID call the registrar's office at (303) 556- 2389
  • If you're having trouble registering, please call Edna Echeozo at (303)556-2187
  • Download the step by step guide to register with screen captures or without screen captures.

**** If you need to drop a RM course please notify our office immediately. If you’ve already registered for the course on the University’s SMART system you must drop it online there. You are not automatically dropped from the class after notifying our office, you are only taken off of our databases. We cannot administratively drop you, you must do it yourself. You will be responsible for the tuition If you fail to drop the course on the SMART system BEFORE the deadline posted on our calendar and communicated to you in numerous emails. If you miss the deadline for an SFU course you will need to complete the Schedule Adjustment Form found under Participation Forms. Fax the form to us and we’ll sign it then send it to the correct registrar contact. If you miss the deadline for a Content course you will have to submit a full petition to Dr. Tammy Stone the CLAS Dean. As of Fall 2008 her office notified us that they will no longer accept Schedule Adjustment Forms from our grant, because of their high use in the past. We will not award stipends to individuals who fail to add the class on time, regardless of their attendance.
