Course Overview:
- Survey of the many ways in which mathematics is used to solve real-world problems.
- The course relies on methods learned in previous courses, namely, algebra, geometry, discrete mathematics, rates of change, and statistics to solve problems drawn from diverse areas such as business and finance, biology and health sciences, economics, sports, physics, and geography.
- The course emphasizes both analytical skills and the use of calculators and spreadsheets.
